In the fall of 2003, Impact Capital’s Board of Directors developed an aggressive, three-year strategy to increase the production of housing and commercial and community facility space across the state of Washington by 20 percent.

To gauge the level of corporate, foundation, and individual financial support, the board launched a feasibility study in March 2004. The result was overwhelmingly positive. Based on input from 61 business and community leaders representing geographies and industries across the state, Impact Capital launched Impact Washington, a $13.5 million, three-year initiative to revitalize the state’s economically-challenged neighborhoods and communities.

As with every fundraising campaign, the right leadership makes all the difference. A geographically-diverse team of high-caliber business and community leaders sets the right tone at the start of a campaign, especially when these volunteers lead by example – both with their time and financial resources.

As the leadership team here implies, our initial recruitment efforts have yielded impressive results. Our track record is strong, and our goals are realistic: 4,000 units of affordable housing and 400,000 square feet of commercial and community facility space

We will be successful – but only with your help.
