Ms. Symbol joined Impact Capital in 1995 providing loan underwriting and capacity building activities for nonprofit developers working in Eastern Washington. She continues to work on the statewide Lending Program as well as the Community Building Programs. She has served on the Spokane Housing Authority's Board of Commissioners for the past seven years and has served as its Chair since 2007. Prior to joining Impact Capital, Ms. Symbol worked as fiscal director for a special needs housing development organization providing affordable, long-term housing solutions for the developmentally disabled. Before joining the community development field, Ms. Symbol worked for a public accounting firm (audit and tax) and has professional certifications in Housing Development and Economic Development Finance. She received her Business Degree from the University of Washington and is a Certified Public Accountant. Out of the office, you can find her hiking or biking the beautiful trails of Eastern WA and Idaho.
