Ms. Herrera joined Impact Capital in January 2009 and manages Impact Capital’s Fund Development and Communications Department. As the former Executive Director of a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., Ms. Herrera has experience building a development strategy, creating programs, and establishing effective communications tools to increase community and donor support. Ms. Herrera has also worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations in advocacy roles, including Consumers Union, where she lobbied members of Congress on telecommunications policy and consumer rights. She is a Texas native, who attended the University of Texas in Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. Ms. Herrera also earned a J.D. from the University Of Texas School Of Law and is licensed to practice law in Texas. She is an oil painter and volunteers as a pro-bono attorney for the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project.
